Το τηλέφωνο είναι ένα όργανο επικοινωνίας που έχει ως σκοπό να διαβιβάσει την ομιλία και άλλους ήχους σε ένα απόμακρο σημείο και να τους αναπαράγει με τη βοήθεια της ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας. Το τηλέφωνο περιέχει ένα διάφραγμα, το οποίο δονείται όταν το χτυπούν τα ηχητικά κύματα.
