Oι αντιπολεμικές και αντιαμερικανικ

Oι αντιπολεμικές και αντιαμερικανικές διαμαρτυρίες για τον πόλεμο του Βιετνάμ, είχαν αντίκτυπο στο έργο των Ελλήνων καλλιτεχνών που συμμετείχαν στην καλλιτεχνική σκηνή του Δυτικού Βερολίνου της περιόδου. Οι διεθνείς πολιτικές συνθήκες βρήκαν έμμεσες αντιστοιχίες με τις εθνικές, ευαισθητοποιώντας τους Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες, με αποτέλεσμα ο εν εξελίξει πόλεμος, όπως και η δικτατορία των συνταγματαρχών, να πυροδοτήσουν συναισθήματα ενάντια στον παρεμβατικό ρόλο των ΗΠΑ. Μια σειρά συμβολικών έργων με αντιπολεμικό περιεχόμενο και πολιτικά χαρακτηριστικά γνωρίσματα της γερμανικής εκδοχής της pop art θα βρεθούν ανάμεσα στα έργα των Ελλήνων καλλιτεχνών μαζί με πολιτικές αφίσες, ζωγραφικά έργα, κολάζ αποτελούμενα από αποκόμματα εφημερίδων, χαρακτικά τυπώματα ή ακόμη και συμβολικές κατασκευές με έντονο αντιπολεμικό περιεχόμενο.
