Στην σημερινή της νομική μορφή η εταιρεία ιδρύθηκε το έτος 1999 υπό την [αρχική] επωνυμία «ΕΛΕΝΗ ΨΗΜΙΤΗ ΕΜΠΟΡΙΑ ΙΑΤΡΙΚΩΝ ΕΦΟΔΙΩΝ ΑΝΩΝΥΜΟΣ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑ» και τον διακριτικό τίτλο «ΕΛΕΝΗ ΨΗΜΙΤΗ Α.Ε.» με έδρα στην Αθήνα και με κύριο σκοπό μεταξύ άλλων την εμπορία ιατρικών εφοδίων, την εμπορία και συντήρηση πάσης φύσεως ιατρικών μηχανημάτων. Το έτος 2009 η εταιρεία μετωνομάσθηκε σε «ΨΗΜΙΤΗ ΕΜΠΟΡΙΑ ΙΑΤΡΙΚΩΝ ΕΦΟΔΙΩΝ ΑΝΩΝΥΜΟΣ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑ» και ο διακριτικός τίτλος άλλαξε αντίστοιχα σε «ΨΗΜΙΤΗ Α.Ε.». –
