η σχολή γεωπονικών επιστημών του απθ καταργήθηκε με το Προεδρικό Διάταγμα 2 και το τμήμα Γεωπονίας που υπαγόταν σε αυτήν επανήλθε στο καθεστώς του άρθρου 30. Ως ημερομηνία μετονομασίας του τμήματος γεωπονίας σε γεωπονική σχολή ορίστηκε η 11η Ιουλίου 2005 (συνέλευση συγκλήτου 2 και συνέλευση Πρυτανικού Συμβουλίου του απθ 3). Με το Προεδρικό διάταγμα 6 ιδρύθηκε η σχολή γεωπονίας, δασολογίας και φυσικού περιβάλλοντος, στην οποία υπάγεται πλέον το τμήμα γεωπονίας. Η ακαδημαική λειτπυργία του τμήματος γεωπονίας άρχισε με την έναρξη του ακαδημαικού έτους 2013- 2014.
