Παρατηρείται λοιπόν ότι οι καλλιτέχνες εξετάζουν όλο το πλέγμα και τη διαδικασία της οικονομικής μετανάστευσης, τη μεταναστευτική πολιτική του γερμανικού κράτους που εφαρμόστηκε κατά τη διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του 1960. Παράλληλα προσπαθούν να έρθουν εγγύτερα στην καθημερινότητά τους και να εισχωρήσουν σε αυτή είτε μέσω της αφήγησης ιστοριών είτε με την απεικόνιση καθημερινών αντικειμένων, ώστε να μεταφέρουν στο έργο τους με μεγαλύτερη ακρίβεια τις συνθήκες εργασίας και διαβίωσης των μεταναστών. Παράλληλα η προσωπική ανάγνωση όλων των παραπάνω μέσα από τη ζωγραφική, φωτογραφίες, εγκαταστάσεις, περιβάλλοντα, αποσκοπούν στην ευαισθητοποίηση του κοινού, σε κοινωνικό και προσωπικό επίπεδο.
