Σε αυτά τα έργα παρατηρείται η κριτική διάθεση του καλλιτέχνη μέσω της χρήσης στοιχείων του φωτογραφικού ντοκουμέντου και του φωτομοντάζ, μια τεχνική του Dada, που χρησιμοποιούσαν και οι καλλιτέχνες του Κριτικού Ρεαλισμού στο Δυτικό Βερολίνο, όπως ο Peter Sorge, για να ασκήσουν κριτική σε κοινωνικά ζητήματα. Η φωτογραφία ήταν το βασικό εργαλείο του Κριτικού Ρεαλισμού, όπως και του Ψυχοπαίδη. Ειδικότερα ο Ψυχοπαίδης συνδέθηκε με καλλιτέχνες του Κριτικού Ρεαλισμού.
