Με την αναθεώρηση της βιβλιογραφίας

Με την αναθεώρηση της βιβλιογραφίας, λίγες ταξινομήσεις βρέθηκαν για τα
εργαλεία και τις τεχνικές που χρησιμοποιούνται στη πολιτική ποιότητας 6σ. O See
(2006) προτείνει μια ταξινόμηση που βασίζεται σε δύο κατηγορίες:
(1) Συλλογή δεδομένων και διαχείριση της ανάλυσης της διαδικασίας - περιλαμβάνει
εργαλεία και τεχνικές όπως είναι η χαρτογράφηση της διαδικασίας, διάγραμμα αιτίου –
αποτελέσματος, τρόπος αποτυχίας και ανάλυση αποτελεσμάτων (FMEA) και σχέδια
ελέγχου.
(2) Εργαλεία για τη διαδικασία - εργαλεία και τεχνικές για το σύστημα είναι: ανάλυση
ικανότητας, πολυμεταβλητές μελέτες και DOEs (Design of Experiments).
