Μετά την υπερδεκαετή λειτουργία του και σύμφωνα με αξιολόγηση διεθνούς επιτροπής, που έγινε για λογαριασμό του Α.Π.Θ., το Νοσοκομείο Παπαγεωργίου από πλευράς τόσο πληρότητας όσο και ποιότητας των παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών στον πάσχοντα συνάνθρωπο, θεωρείται ως ένα από τα καλύτερα νοσηλευτικά Ιδρύματα της Ευρώπης.
